Title: Lie #8: Prayer is about me convincing God to give me what I want

Text: Matthew 6:7-13

The Truth: Prayer is a lot more about us asking God to show us what we need than it is us telling him what we need.

4 Requests Prayer should make:

1. 1God help me to recapture the proper perspective
   

2. God help me to rely on you for life
   

3. God help me to recognize my sin
   

4. God direct my steps
