The kind of church we are:
A church that BOWS - Worship is our highest purpose and prayer our top priority.
A church that BUILDS. We will build on the Word of God and build up the body of Christ.
A church that STEPS UP. We will leverage our lives for His purpose.
4. A church that STEPS OUT in faith. We will take BIG swings for the glory of God.
A church that SHINES BRIGHT. We will be a city on a hill punching holes in the darkness.
A church that SERVES Sacrificially. We will love and lead like Jesus by learning to serve like Jesus.
Questions:
In Judges 6, we find Gideon fearful and frustrated. He was convinced that the presence and goodness of God was absent in his life and world. Describe a time where you or someone close to you felt this way.
When the Lord revealed His intent to use Gideon to be a difference maker, Gideon doubted his potential. How has doubt discouraged you from trusting in God's desire and ability to use you to accomplish His plan? What are some ways you have learned to combat that doubt?
The Lord invited Gideon into a new identity and purpose, but Gideon has to surrender to God's plan and trust His promise to become the difference maker God called him to be. What are some potential ways you are being called to surrender so that you can make a difference?
Take a moment to review the "Identity Markers" for our church listed above as application points. Which of those resonates most with you? What INTENTIONAL ACTION can you take to help?
